Special Weather Statement
Alert:

...HEAVY SNOW BAND...
HAZARDS...A band of heavy snow accompanied by winds of up to 30 MPH.
LOCATION AND MOVEMENT...At 1156 PM EDT, a band of heavy snow was
from just south of Kane...southeast across Renovo...to just
northwest of Williamsport.
THIS BAND OF HEAVY SNOW will remain over mainly rural areas of
southwestern McKean...southeastern Warren... Southern
Lycoming...southern Potter...northeastern Southern
Clinton...northeastern Union...Northern Clinton...northwestern
Northumberland...Cameron...Northern Lycoming and northern Elk
Counties.
For those driving on Interstate 80, this includes areas between the
Mile Run and Lewisburg-Williamsport exits, specifically near mile
marker 207.
This includes Interstate 180 between mile markers 1 and 10...and from
mile markers 13 to 29.
SAFETY INFO... While little accumulation of snow is
expected...temperatures near or just below freezing may lead to icy
spots on untreated surfaces. Remember...black ice is nearly
impossible to see and roadways may appear wet. Please use extreme
caution, especially on bridges, overpasses and around curves. Allow
plenty of stopping distance and avoid braking suddenly.
