In a week dominated by much bigger world issues, youd have thought the whole England v Scotland poppy furore might have been forgotten.
Of course it wasnt and both teams took to the field with the little flower proudly emblazoned on their black armbands - in defiance of any rules made by Johnny Foreigner (and the home nation FAs).
