At Mobile World Congress 2014 tech fair, back in February, the Japan-based phone maker officially revealed that, unlike most of their competitors, they will not be following a once-a-year flagship strategy for their smartphone line-up. Even though their Sony Xperia Z2 hasn�t officially hit the US market yet, a leak about the Xperia Z3 surfaced online.

According to Chinese website IT168 the Sony Xperia Z3 will have a metal chassis while its body will receive a PVD coating that would give the device a mirrored stainless steel look. The PVD layer is supposed to make the Xperia Z3 less prone to scratches and give it better impact resistance. It�s even more eco friendly than other manufacturing options, but it�s way more complex so don�t be too surprised hearing about Xperia Z3 release date delays.

he same source also reveals that the Sony Xperia Z3 will feature a Full HD (1080 x 1920) display, which would probably make the handset less desirable to demanding customers. As you may know the folks at LG will unveil their first Quad HD smartphone next week, while Samsung and HTC are expected to fit Quad HD panels on their Galaxy S5 Prime and One M8 Prime smartphones.

The Sony Xperia Z3 technical specifications might also include a quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor (on par with G3, S5 Prime, and One M8 Prime), 3 GB of RAM, and a 20.7 MP primary shooter.

The Chinese publication also revealed some details about the Xperia Z3 release date. According to it, the new flagship smartphone of the Japan-based phone maker will see the light of day in early August.
