Top 20 Best Selling SUVs In Canada September 2014

Canadas four top-selling utility vehicles collectively reported a year-over-year monthly improvement of 43% in September, a gain of 4597 units. At this time last year they accounted for 7.1% of all September new vehicle sales in Canada; that figure rose to 9.0% in September 2014.
Only four of Canadas 20 top-selling SUVs and crossovers failed to report year-over-year improvements last month, including the fifth and sixth-ranked Hyundai Santa Fe Sport and Dodge Journey.
The aging Journeys decline, 12.5% through the first nine months of 2014, is more than made up for at Chrysler Canada by the Jeep brand, where sales are up 60% this year. 24% of the vehicles sold by the Chrysler Group in 2014 have been Jeeps, up from 16.3% during the same period last year.

GCBC continues to showcase the Subaru Outback as a passenger car until at least the end of the year. If considered an SUV, the Outback would have ranked 19th in September with 936 sales, a 71% increase.

Top 20 Best Selling SUVs In America August 2014

The Toyota RAV4 was Americas most popular utility vehicle in August as sales jumped 52% to 35,614 units, a record-setting month following up on Julys record-setting month.
The RAV4 was joined by one Toyota and one Lexus in the top 11. Hondas Pilot ranked 13th among SUVs and crossovers. The Escape was one of two Fords, including the sixth-ranked Explorer, to make the list. GM landed three utility vehicles in the top 16. There are four Jeeps along with the Dodge Journey.
Only six of the 20 top-selling SUVs and crossovers in America recorded declining sales compared with August 2013. The RAV4s massive jump wasnt matched by any of its 19 closest followers, although the Nissan Rogue, Explorer, Subaru Forester, Mazda CX-5, and Jeep Patriot all posted gains above 24%.

Top 20 Worst Selling Vehicles In Canada December 2014
• Canadas 20 Worst-Selling Vehicles In 2014
Its an eclectic bunch, with city cars like the Chevrolet Spark mingling with supercars like the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and big sedans like the Chrysler 300 spending time alongside luxury sedans like the Audi A7.
GCBC also compiled a list of the 20 worst-selling vehicles measured by volume, rather than year-over-year decline. Many of the same vehicles make appearances, but youll also find rare cars like the Honda CR-Z, Infiniti Q70, and Mitsubishi i MiEV.

And how about the Mazda 6? It was AJACs car of the year last year, but that did nothing to help Mazda move the metal in 2014. Sales of the 6 midsize sedan fell 28%, a loss of 1201 sales for Mazda Canada.
Numerous vehicles have valid excuses for spending time among the worst sellers. The Mazda 2 is about to be replaced, for example. The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is being phased out in favour of the Mercedes AMG GT.
But the Chevrolet Orlando is a worst seller because Canadians have manifested a desire to not buy them. The Chevrolet Spark has proven far more popular in more small-car-averse America. The Scion iQ has been ignored from the start.
Measured by volume, six of the cars only began their tenure in 2014, some of them (Lexus RC, Alfa Romeo 4C) at a late point in the year. Yet while the Kia K900 only arrived in Canada in March and thus didnt have as great a shot at escaping the worst sellers list, there werent any sold in October or December, either. In other words, buyers dont want the car, dealers therefore dont want to stock the car, and there are therefore no K900s leaving showrooms.
