GCBC isnt here to break down segments, an impossible task for any group, but to display sales data for the sake of comparison. The more ways sales data can be displayed, the better, right? This explains why youll see the the A7 and CLS here but also with midsize luxury cars... because readers have wanted it both ways. You can always find the sales results for EVERY vehicle and form your own competitive sets by using the All Vehicle Rankings posts. Sales data for brands such as Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus, Rolls-Royce etc. are unfortunately not broken down by model. ANDC estimates say sales for those brands in the first two months of 2015 were 206, 354, 126, 30, and 154, respectively. Tesla, unfortunately, doesnt release model-specific monthly U.S. sales data, but HybridCars.com estimates 1400 February Tesla sales, 2900 YTD.

General Motors market share in the category grew to 68.7% from 53.3% one year ago. The four GM nameplates in the list below, together with the Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV, accounted for 4.4% of GM Canadas January volume.

Oddly, the top seller in the GM group was not any of the four shown here. The Cadillac Escalade reported a 459% year-over-year improvement to 123 January sales before even taking into account the 30 long-wheelbase versions sold last month. GCBC will showcase the Escalade lineup in another segment breakdown that features SUVs from Infiniti, Lexus, Land Rover, and Mercedes-Benz.

GCBC isnt here to break down segments, an impossible task for any group, but to display sales data for the sake of comparison. You can always find the sales results for EVERY vehicle and form your own competitive sets by using the All Vehicle Rankings posts. Sales data for brands such as Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus, Rolls-Royce etc. are unfortunately not made available in Canada. Tesla doesnt release a monthly Model S sales report, either. ANDC estimates for Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce were 136, 191, 103, and 72, respectively, in the first 11 months of 2014. Tesla sold 698 cars in the first 10 months of 2014. Total Maserati volume is reported, but not by specific models. GCBC shows the Cadillac XTS, Hyundai Equus, and Kia K900 with midsize luxury cars not because of their size, but because the price points are much more directly comparable.
